Retreat...where do I start? Man, there's actually quite a lot to say. Just the highlights. First day, the mini-retreat was really mini. We started out with only about 30 people. And the theme song was eh, a little weird. Jacob went out of tune too many times. Nancy was my QT leader and I found her a different person I thought her to be. I used to think she was very soft and quiet, but now she seems to me as a very strong-willed person who is quite clear in her thoughts. I don't really agree with some of her beliefs however. Anyway, I'll talk about the events. 2 nights ago, I got woken up by some long and big cockroach cos' it bit my arm. And when I moved, it crawled across my body. And I ended up having to wake Esther up cos' it ended on her towel on top her bag. And guess what?! Esther and I shifted outside the room into the hall, which we later discovered was filled with guys. But we had to sleep there nonetheless. We couldn't stand the sight of a cockroach running free in the room. Yesterday was the Theme Special and almost everyone who signed up to help cook went berserk. Apparently the SF com left without us knowing and when we went into the kitchen to help out, none of them were there. The SF com just left a slip of paper. A recipe that is. That was all. No notes at all. And from the 8 who signed up, about 20 people were buzzling un the kitchen. No dinner prepared meant no dinner for all. That was it. An emergency! Dinner went on just fine in the end. Goodness.
Everything else was good, and I won't bother to write it down. Just ask me.
